Notas:

  1. Tiamat es una diosa-monstruo maléfica perteneciente a la mitología babilónica. Es el principio femenino, el agua salada. Se unió a Apsu, el principio masculino, el agua dulce. Ea, dios de la sabiduría y creador de la humanidad, sometió a Apsu a un largo sopor y luego lo mató. Tiamat, enfurecida por la muerte de su esposo, creó una legión de demonios, pero Marduk, hijo de Ea, venció a Tiamat, la encadenó en los pozos del abismo y la partió por la mitad. De la mitad superior de su cuerpo se creó el cielo y de su mitad inferior la tierra firme. Sus lágrimas se convirtieron en los nacimientos de los ríos Tigris y Éufrates.
