1. En esa época, el batería Bill Ward lucía una barba que acababa en punta. Ozzy Osbourne, el cantante, bromeando decía que la barba de Bill parecía la punta de un pen nib (plumilla o plumín). Y con este nombre decidieron titular la canción. Para hacerlo más intrigante, pusieron puntos entre las letras.
